Tript Kaur, the scholar of Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27 emerged because the Tricity topper with 98.8 per-cent in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Class XII examination, the outcome of which were declared on Monday.
Tript, students of humanities, check AP Intermediate Results 2016 got an excellent score of 100 marks in the past and political science, 99 marks each in psychology and phys . ed . and 96 marks in English. The eldest daughter of the insurance surveyor Jaspreet Singh Mehta and Manmeet Kaur, Tript now looks to taking admission in BA (English Honours) in Delhi University (DU). “I enjoy reading English novels, and possess also been enjoying various essay-writing competitions. So, English is one of the best subject. I want to pursue research in English, or plan Civil Services examinations,” said Tript, who searches for inspiration in noted English writer, Ruskin Bond, and former President, A P J Abdul Kalam.
As Tript rejoiced in the achievement, her father said he was surprised, “I am still in shock. It is this sort of good percentage. We will celebrate inside a grand way,” said her father.
Talking about her preparation, Tript said, “I accustomed to study between four hours daily, and was regular at high school. I did not take any coaching, and used self-study. However, I would advice all students having humanities, that they must take all subjects seriously, and there is no space for complacency.” Second in line is Chakshu Goyal from Stepping Stones Senior Secondary School, Sector 37, who emerged as topper with 98 % in Non-Medical stream. Chakshu lives in Ludhiana, and it has been staying in a very hostel in Chandigarh for last two years, to be able to take coaching for engineering entrance examinations.
“There is just not much difference in getting yourself ready for Boards and engineering entrance examinations, if students focuses on reading NCERT books. It is more details on managing your efforts well,” said Chakshu, who intentions to pursue mechanical engineering from an IIT. He scored 100 in mathematics, 99 in physics, 98 each in chemistry and sports and physical eduction and 95 in English. Kanksha Malhotra, from Bhavan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, emerged because the topper in Commerce stream, with 97.8 %. Elated over her performance, Kanksha says, she never expected such high number.
“The step to performing well in examinations is always to study consistently. Students must not take stress and look only when to merely,” said Kanksha, daughter of businessman Arun Malhotra and Shelly Malhotra. With 100 marks in accounts, 99 in political science, 98 in mathematics, 95 in English and 97 operating, Kanksha says, she actually is most considering Mathematics and Accounts. She now offers to pursue BCom from the good college affiliated to Panjab University (PU).
Girls took the lead even during Medical stream, with Ayushi Sood, from Bhawan Vidyalaya, Sector 27 emerging topper inside the stream with 96.6 %. With 99 marks in Psychology, 99 marks in English and 95 marks each in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, Ayushi now looks toward getting admission in BSc (Physics) or Biochemistry.
“Unlike most, I do not wish to be a doctor,” laughed Ayushi, who took coaching for Physics and Chemistry, and employed from here to study for four hours daily. Ayushi also got selected for just a scholarship scheme to acquire admission in a of colleges in New York, but has chosen to not go.
Talking about her preparation for examinations, she said, “Pay focus on what is being taught within the class, and you’ll succeed.”
With three toppers on the school, principal, Bhawan Vidyalaya, Sector 27, Vineeta Arora said, “We are exceedingly proud, plus the credit correctly, would go to the teachers and students who studied hard. This is the fifth year in continuation, that a minimum of one of the Tricity toppers of Class 12th comes from our school.”
